This question is really for anyone who’s gone through this experience but since it’s a specific example, I used the pronouns.
The title pretty much says it all. Let’s say you meet someone online who you find super cute. After talking for sometime you decide to meet. Upon meeting, let’s say they don’t look like their pictures. Maybe they’re not as pretty/cute/curvy/skinny/tall etc. as they had seem to be from pictures. So you go your separate ways without explaining why or giving closure. Some time after meeting, they post a new picture on social media. Even though you think it’s a nice picture, would you like this picture even if you think they don’t actually look like that in person?
Asking for a friend.
Edit: I guess I should add my “story” behind this question even though I was afraid this might changed people’s biases or perception. I am a lady (people here always assume I’m a dude lol) and I was basically ghosted by a guy who I really liked. For a long time I internalized this. I thought it was because he didn’t think I was as cute/pretty/skinny as he expected. Even though I don’t alter my pictures with filters, I keep it pretty natural in terms of makeup, and do try to portray myself correctly on dating apps. However, when I posted a new picture on social media, he liked it. So, if he liked my new picture on social media, I feel like that would discredit the theory that he ghosted me because I didn’t look like my pictures. Asking here because we no longer talk (ended oddly) and I was never able to ask him directly. Just trying to figure out if it was really me since didn’t get any closure.
