I’m a man. People have told me not to be friends with women. I think I’m starting to see why people would say that.

On one hand, I’ve never been in a relationship with a woman so being friends with some women has been good for me to better understand how women work. How they are similar to and different from men.

But gender roles make the dynamics weird even for my friendships it seems. Things are not equal or fair. Which sets things up for tension imo. And the tension is annoying because you can’t do much about the “problems.” So I don’t know if I agree that friendships with women should be avoided, but I think I understand now why some people avoid them.
