19 F here, and for all of my life I have been very surface level with guys. The few guys I’ve let in, ended in the termination of our friendship, bc they eventually grew bored of me and distanced themselves until there was no longer a friendship.
I’ve only had one boyfriend, but the same thing happened. He was very interested in me at first, and then once he got to know me he disengaged from the relationship.
Now I am afraid to be real with guys in general, whether it’s a friendship or relationship I’m interested in. I always think why would I put myself out there if I already know what the outcome will be. I truly am afraid to be anything but surface level with guys. How do I combat this/pls give me some advice about this?
(I have always had really good girl friends growing up/don’t have issues getting along with 99% of the people I encounter on a daily basis).
TLDR; how to not be surface level with guys?
