I’m embarrassed when my boyfriend told me I don’t know how to do a handjob?

Sorry, title was explicit but yeah.. He's my first boyfriend tbh.. I've had a couple online flings but he's a real guy, and we regularly see each other at least once a week. We've been together for a little over a month He's nice, kind, and sweet. Lately, we've gotten sexual but nothing penetrative. He's had a lot of ex-girlfriends before and I def have no real relationship experience. He's not a playboy or anything, he's told.me about a couple ex girlfriends he's had over the past couple of years and not in a row. Also he had ofc a rich sexual experience, and I did hook up with a guy once but that's it.

Just that while we were romancing recently, he told me in a neutral tone while I'm manually exploring his yard: You don't even know how to do it.

I got really thrown off by that. I stopped immediately and retracted from him saying, "Well, I.am.not.doing.that. again anymore." He got apologetic and said, "no, no,no.." then he kissed me and kept going at it.

Now that he's gone and off to work, I can't help but feel embarrassed about what he said. Ofc he meant it–don't we all mean the things that first come out of our mouth? I suddenly felt insecure of my inexperience and decide that maybe we should cut the making out crap and not explore those bases anymore.

Also, yeah, he does a really good job pleasing me tbh, so I can say he's experienced and good. I just felt insecure myself. Perhaps i shouldn't have explored a bit too much.

To emphasize no we did not do anything penetrative. Mostly petting, necking, and lots of kissing. Just how do I fucking deal with this? I'm completely just thrown off all of a sudden.
