I’m going to keep running into him…

Prior to lockdown I was seeing this really nice guy who goes to my gym. We had been going on adorably planned dates consistently, getting to know each other, working out together and had discussed our intentions about possibly moving forward toward a relationship. We were only seeing each other for about a month or so but I felt really good about how we were progressing and we had slept together a few times too.

Well since covid/social distancing measures things have since fizzled out. We didn’t really text too often prior because we’d rely on seeing each other at the gym.

Not to mention, he also lives about a minutes drive away from me- and it’s not completely uncommon for me to see him driving while I’m walking my dog. He’s messaged me afterwards after seeing me and we’ve also replied to each other’s social media stories in the past but now it’s absolutely nothing.I ran into him face to face only once, it was friendly and I had told him to reach out if he was interested in meeting up possibly.

Before things got really serious with covid restrictions we were talking about the next time we’d go out for coffee, on a walk or when we’d sleep together next. He never ended up reaching out after then. I completely understand that the radio silence on his end is in itself a sign to move on but because I never got any sort of explanation on what happened I can’t help to beat myself up about it. It honestly was going so well and I at least deserved some sort of explanation after allowing myself to be vulnerable with him. Whether it was the fact that covid was overwhelming things or he wasn’t as interested as he thought- I would’ve been okay with either, because being left in the dark is beyond defeating. It’s super annoying that he lives so close, but the worst thing has to be the fact is that gyms will soon be opening up and we both go nearly everyday at the same times which can’t be moved because of work. I’m not even sure how to act around him and the fact that its inevitable I’ll have more interactions with him in the future-whether at the gym or walking around the neighbourhood- is frustrating and honestly upsetting.

Blah feelings can suck, end of rant.
