In a heavily male dominated program and I still don’t have a boyfriend

I'm a 20 year old female who grew up pretty introverted for most of my life and had little confidence talking to guys. Since I was little , I have been overweight and received no attention from guys unless they were bullying me. As I got older, I lost weight(im still a little chubby though) and started taking care of myself. I have gotten much better at talking to guys and I now have a few guy friends. Still, no guy has ever asked me out on a date or kissed me. The only attention I get is from older men in their 30's who randomly hit on me when I am out in public. Every guy who has showed me attention eventually stops (im assuming they get bored of me).

I'm not an "unattractive" person but I definitely dont fit exactly in to societies standards. I grew up with my friends getting attention from all my male peers while I was invisible. Nobody batted an eye at me in high school. I thought that when I came to university for engineering(dont worry, I did not choose engineering for this reason) maybe I would meet someone I could be compatible with but next year is graduation and I still remain single. I have grown to become more content with being alone but it still hurts me. Why does no guy want me? I have made the first move before and all the guys I have talked to seemed uninterested or didn't put any effort back to interact with me. How do I handle all my other female peers getting male attention while I receive little to none? I dont want to come across as a jealous person, my female friends and peers are beautiful successful women and I have no bitter feelings towards them. It just sucks feeling left out. I have been bottling up this for a while and wanted to let it out. So I guess what im wondering is, how do I cope with feeling unwanted?
