Been dating a girl for 3 months and have been exclusive for the last 2. Its been good. Some small hiccups here and there nothing major. Important information is she is a mechanical engineering student and can be a little hard to read sometimes, with not so great communication skills. Not many friends, just 1 close friend and a few acquaintances. (Came to the country when she was 18, dated a guy for 4 years and all her friends where tied into his friends. When they broke up she cut ties with all of the mutual friends they had and she practically was left friendless).
Today was the first time I went out with her to meet my friends.
Long story short while we were hanging out talking at the beach. One of my friends, who by the way had a girl he was dating with him, was asked by my girlfriend if he can blow O's with his vape pen. To which he replies, "I can't". Then her response was, " They say if you can blow O's you're good at sucking cock"… Okay pause.
His girlfriend was noticable upset and he just deflected it to talking about if she can and how I should be dissappointed. It was very akward.
My question is, do I chalk this up as her being a socially awkward mechanical engineer trying to be funny? Or is this some sort of red flag I have never noticed untill I have brought her out with friends. Personally my intuition leads towards the social akward, trying to be funny side.
What do you people think? Appreciate the answers, cheers.
