I’ve talked it over with a few friends and I’ve come to the conclusion that dating is over-romanticized. I’m asexual and for a while now I’ve been wondering if I might be aromantic too. This is because in every relationship I’ve had I never felt that spark stories tell you signals romantic love. I asked a mentor of mine about it and she said I expected too much magic to happen and that love is more about companionship than anything else. If any of you guys are having trouble finding a relationship that meets your expectations it might help to re-evaluate those expectations and reflect on what influences them.
