Every time I [F/27] think about what I want in a partner, I often think about how this person would react if I tell him that I don’t want responsibility of any kind. Living alone for two years made me realize that I don’t want kids because I would get too stressed out (I suffer from anxiety) and it’s also a huge financial long-term responsibility. I feel the same way about pets. I like other people’s pets but I wouldn’t want one of my own since that also requires a lot of responsibility. I know most guys love pets and some want to have kids, but I feel afraid of being vocal about that once I start dating again. I love kids, but I don’t want to raise them. I think single fathers are sexy to me but I don’t think I could ever date them because of the responsibility they have for their child/children. So how would I come about this topic next time I date someone?
