Is it possible to be ‘too interested’ during the talking/dating stage? Is it a put off?

Hi guys,

I was just thinking today if it’s possible to be too interested in the person you’re seeing / and or showing too much affection during the early days / weeks of talking/dating them? By this I mean e.g lots of compliments, fast replies, generally getting close too fast? (providing that they’re also on the same vibe as you).

Does this, in your experience at least anyway put you off the person or even scare you off? Or does it make you feel more endeared towards them?

Ive personally thought that (if the person is not on the same wave length as you) it usually scares people off or puts them off if you’re affectionate during the beginning or too early on. But it doesnt seem to make sense to me – why would someone be put off by this? Does it show that they’re too keen and therefore makes the other person think if its worth it or not? Im confused lol.
