Is there really such thing as a “bad texter” when it comes to dating?

I often see people getting upset that the new person they’re talking to is a “bad texter”. I am one of these people, as I, too, get annoyed and confused when a person whose shown interest in me in person takes hours to respond to each of my texts with minimal wording.

I understand that, especially when you guys have been dating for a while and you know each other’s schedule, telling the other person “hey I’m going into work. Talk to you in 5 hours” is pretty normal. But what I’m talking about is: you go on a date with a guy and you really hit it off, then the 5 days in between until you guys see each other again, he only texts you every 6 hours with no other contact. And you KNOW he’s not constantly working with 10 min breaks in between.

I just, personally, feel like even if you as a person aren’t the type to spend much time on your phone, if your ONLY option of talking to somebody you really want in your life IS texting, you’d naturally want to text them, if not, at least try to. If you don’t feel the inclination to pick up your phone during your free time to contact the person you like, I feel like you don’t like them that much , or, you just don’t prioritize them enough. What do you guys think?

TLDR : idk if a “bad texter” really exists. Even if you don’t spend lots of time on your phone naturally, If you like somebody enough, you’d text them when you can’t see them in person.
