Hi guys, Just wanted to get your thoughts on this issue I’ve been having. So, I’ve been out of a relationship for over 2ish years. I’ve felt like I’m ready to date and have tried multiple times on dating apps, people from work, school, etc. However, I notice that dating is a trigger for my anxiety. Every time I meet someone that I like a lot, I get really self critical about my looks and whether I am good enough for that person. It’s to the point that I freak out about getting pimples or break outs of eczema. It always ends up with me pushing these men away to soothe my stress. I tell myself “maybe you’re not ready to date” and I lay off of it for a while. The cycle repeats: I feel great about myself, I start dating, I feel anxious/self conscious and cut them off. What do you think about it? Have you struggled with this? Any ways that might help me overcome it?
