This is quote from Jean-Luc Picard from Star Trek and I think it applies perfectly in dating.

I was dating a girl for a month and everything was fine. Great dates, great texting, video chats/phone calls, flirting, future plans.

Then this last monday after a great weekend, she video chats me to tell me she’s not ready to be with anyone and she has so many problems and blah blah blah. “it’s not you, it’s me.” total left field

Point is, everything could be going amazing and it could still blow up in your face.
