I sort of just “started dating” almost a year ago. I quit about three weeks later, realizing that I wasn’t really interested in starting a relationship as much as I simply missed being around a bunch of guys all the time.
Anyway, I also learned something else about myself with that experiment. I’m not the reason why I’ve been single all this time…. well, I am, but not the way I thought. I’m just not interested in anybody!
There was about five different guys from a dating app, that even after meeting them I wasn’t particularly excited about any of them. Hell, in seven years of working with an ever evolving group of guys and having the occasional “friend of a friend” or whatever pass by, I’ve never been REALLY interested in anyone. (Disclaimer: That dry spell is over, but the problem remains.)
TL;DR: I have a harder time finding someone I’m interested in than someone who is interested in me. Can I change that? What if I let someone slip away because I didn’t care?
