I had two back to back relationships that were really unhealthy and I realized that I need to work on myself. Back at the end of last year, I was on and off with a girl for a couple of months and before that we were really close friends for a year. After that ended, I quickly then hooked up with another girl and then after that started dating another girl for 2 months who was using me as her rebound since she got dumped from a 2 year relationship before she met me. Everything seemed great but I wanted more and she wasn’t ready for more commitment so I ended it with her as hard as it was. I was hurt but it was the right thing to do. I felt used by her, my heart was hurting a lot. This ended at the end of February and I realized I needed to work on myself because I always seemed to need to be in a relationship to be to happy. I’ve been single for a couple of months now and honestly I realized that I want to take time before I start dating again because I honestly feel like there’s no point in trying because I’m in a bad place in my life. I’m depressed, I’m not feeling myself, I haven’t gotten over my ex. I don’t want to make my problems someone else’s. Until I resolve all these issues, I’m not going to be dating. Just letting everyone know that it’s okay to take a break. Believe me, I’d love to be in a relationship right now. To have someone to talk to every day, to be intimate with emotionally and physically but now is not the time. I need to focus on my life first and my career and also building up my mental health.
