22M. First real date ever. I only have a few friends and they dont care about my dating life so im venting here. I feel it went well for the most part but we didnt really hit our stride until almost 90 minutes in. There were a lot of awkward pauses. Most of which she had to break with a comment or random question. The truth is, im not the best conversationalist. Im comfortable around friends and family but pretty quiet around new people and it showed especially in the first half.
I guess my question is what are some good tips to keep the conversation rolling with a date in person? Especially once it hits an awkward pause. I had a handful of questions that we blew through in like 10 minutes and then i struggled for a while. Could also use date advice in general, thank you!!
Edit: she texted me it went well and she had fun!! but now Im even more nervous bc we’ll have less to talk about next time?
