I[36M] just met up tonight with a woman [26F] I met last night on Hinge. We had fun convo on the app, then quickly moved to text. She lives local so we decided to meet up outside for a few min.
We met up for all of 5 minutes and I instantly knew I wasn’t attracted to her, but I could tell she was into me. She also came off a bit nervous(which she admitted), and there were a few awkward moments.
After we split she text me saying she was happy to see that I was real. I text back thanking her for coming out, but that I wasn’t into it and didn’t want to continue on to make sure neither of us wastes time. She thanked me for being honest and kind.
I say all this to say, I believe many guys will chat for weeks and months, building this person up in their head, not knowing if they would actually click in person. In my opinion it’s best to meet up fairly quickly to see if there’s a spark, and if it isn’t there, instead of wasting time, go find someone that excites you.
TLDR: The sooner you meetup from a dating app, the better, and if there’s no attraction, just be straight up about it in a respectful way. Life’s too short to be wasting your and other people’s time.
