I know this might sound as “problem many people would like to have”, but it’s really ruining my dating life and keeps me single even thought I really wish to fall for someone too.
I am female [26], I am very ambitious and I love a good challenge and that might be a reason why this is totally destroying my attempts to date.
The problem is that men very early in dating (few dates in) like to make things official, often even possessive, confessing their love. I feel like they don’t even know me enough, and that they kind of idealize me and most importantly as I am not there yet, I feel like there is no excitement and challenge … I usually try to continue in getting to know that person but since the moment they ask me for exclusivity or so I feel like it stops to be fun and every conversation leads to the “talk”.
Last person I dated had in his tinder profile written “probably hookups only”, so I thought it might be at least fun and nice refreshment, but again that didn’t happen and on our third night together he left crying my apartment because I told him I would never consider a relation with a fboy.
I really really don’t know what to do with this, is there even a solution? Should I work on myself and try to change my views on “men as a challenge” ? Is a problem in me and this is how it goes in normal dating world? Has anyone any advice on this? I am really open and wanting a relationship.
