As the title says I(M 21) am considering messaging a girl(20) that I haven’t talked to in awhile. I can’t say exactly how long, maybe a little less than a year. Is that too long? Like does it seem really random? Part of me thinks that with all this stuff going on that she’s probably bored like I am. She might still be finishing up school stuff but it’s Friday and I’m fairly certain she’s at home probably doing nothing.
Maybe something to think about, we weren’t super close when we did talk but she seemed interested and responded fairly enthusiastically sometimes(emojis, smile faces occasionally). The thing is, I was always the one initiating the conversation and because of that I felt like she wasn’t that all that interested as I thought and if I start messaging her again I’m gonna fall down the same hole.
I’m also not sure what I’d say, “hey it’s been a while, how have you been?” Do I mentioned all this crazy stuff that’s happened? Like at least that gives us something to talk about. Do I ask if she’s doing well, if her family is doing well Another thing is she might think I’m weird for messaging her after all this time.
Thoughts?
