Morning after thank you text…?

Hi all. Had a nice date turned hookup w/ a guy from Tinder recently. He was really kind and frequently referred to the future, stating that he'd love to show me this and that and do this with me. The afternoon after our date/hookup (he'd slept over and left in morning), he texted me:

"I had a lot of fun! Thanks for having me."

I might be overthinking but it just felt weird to be thanked…? Thoughts?
