hi everyone,
my boyfriend and i have been dating for about 3 months now – he is very independent which is great but sometimes it makes me doubt
in the beginning of our relationship we were texting all the time and having deep conversations and learning about each other and now it just feels like he isn’t always that interested in me. he will play video games for hours when i’m hanging out with him, be on his phone during dinner or facetime calls and not really add to the conversations or ask how i’m doing. he can just be selfish sometimes
i truly don’t think he means to come off this way because when he actually puts his phone down every once in a while and hangs out with me we have a great time and he seems really happy. He believes that everything is fine in the relationship and i have an issue with the way things are. But i always have to ask him to hang out or if he wants to get off video games and go do something which makes me feel guilty and unwanted. i don’t want to have to act like his mom and tell him to stop playing.
i don’t know what this means about us and i don’t know how to bring this up to him without sounding needy or insecure.
