My advice on dating :)

I wanted to make this post to share what i've learned which will hopefully help any of you become more confident when it comes to dating.

Disclamer: i am not a womanizer, so if you are expecting a trick to make someone fall in love with you let me save you some time "everyone is different and its more complicated than that"

Also since i am a straight man this post will be focused more on these relationships but many tips can be applied in other situations

Here it goes:

1 How to start:

when you like someone, dont do stuff hoping they notice you like them, treating someone like they are above your league is a bad idea.

This part comes mostly from experience, but everyone loves to talk about themselves, so you should definetly ask interesting questions so the other person. start with the usual, hobbies, aspirations and such.

in some of them you may get a "what about you?" right after they finish answering your question, this is a really good sign, because it means that the other person also wants to know more about you, keep making slightly more personal questions if the other person looks engaged in the convo.

share your insight on the other persons answers but try to be non-judgemental and keep it brief but "friendly" E.g. "wow thats really cool, i would have never imagined it…"

once you get good at making questions and listening, having a nice chat will become a piece of cake

2.Asking out on a date:

this might be a bit tricky but im gonna tell you something my granpa told me:

as long as you are nice and not-weird about it, you are doing better than most other guys.

My go to line is something like this:

"hey i really enjoy talking to you, there is this really cool bar that i think you might like, would you like to go for a drink sometime?"

it is really important to be confident when you say it, but not so much that it sounds cocky

  1. The date

this entirely depends on you and the other person, a drink or two is more than enough to loosen up and enjoy a nice chat, i really recommend asking interesting questions and letting the other person talk about themselves, if they like you, they will start asking questions about you, try to keep it brief but always be nice in your answers, there is nothing more likeable than someone who talks about something they really like.

important tip, if you are able to, taking the person back to their house is a really nice gesture, it doesnt matter if you drive them or walk with them.

also i wouldnt push for a kiss or **** unless the date is going reaaaaally well as it makes it look like it is the only thing you wanted from the start

when you get home, a quick text saying how much you enjoyed the evening with that person is a really nice way to make sure there is a second date.

  1. The rest is all you and hope all of this helps, if i see that this works for others i might make one about how to handle a relationship

best of luck to you guys and feel free to pm me if you wanna talk about the subject
