We’re both 18f and my ex is 18m. All three of us are in the same extended friend group, and my friend is the most soft spoken unassuming person you’ll ever encounter
My ex and I dated for 6 months from May-October of last year. Of course it took me some time to get over the breakup, but so much has happened since then that I feel like a different person now.
His now girlfriend, is what you would call a friend by circumstance. Before COVID, we had ALL of our classes together so we would talk a lot. Being in the same social circle, she knew about the relationship, obviously not the nitty gritty, but there’s only so much small talk one can make. We never hung out outside of school, and since our year got cut short in March I haven’t talked to her.
Today she posted an insta photo and that’s how I found out they are together. I liked the photo and moved on.
Since their relationship went public and she saw I liked the pic, she messaged me with this whole spiel about how it might be harmful to me to see their relationship and how she “wants me to be happy too”. Ok fine. BUT THEN, she starts telling me that I shouldn’t hang out with the friend group when they’re also there (which I wouldn’t anyways cause COVID). She then accuses me that I am trying to get back with him and that I would try to sabotage their relationship. Keep in mind I haven’t interacted with my ex with more than a “hello” at parties since the breakup.
I have NO CLUE what she is trying to do here. Is it worth me even responding? Does he know she sent this? I guess I’m not looking for a ton of advice, a lot of this is me venting.
