My pet peeve about flowers

These are the times it feels awkward to get flowers and maybe this will help guys a bit.

1. The first date after meeting online. It’s kind of awkward because I don’t know how I feel about the person yet. Then, taking a bouquet in the restaurant to continue the date usually causes a lot of attention from women saying “wow he’s a keeper!” It’s kind of overwhelming. (I learned to put them in my car now)

2. Apology flowers. I once received three apology bouquets with in three months of dating a man. Every time I looked at the flowers I thought of what he did wrong. I just wanted change not flowers. We didn’t work out.

Times I appreciate flowers.

1. Special occasions. Valentines day, birthdays, or anniversaries are such a nice time to get flowers.

2. For no reason. A surprise after dating for awhile is really cute and sweet.

I try to appreciate any gift of course and try to see where his heart is at. Just curious what the etiquette is for flowers and if anyone has any similar experiences.
