Need advice when with girlfriend and roomie is with us

My girl friend and I go out quite often. She’s still in college and doesn’t work atm due to losing her job from COVID, and she’s in college anyway. I’m a software engineer so our incomes are a bit different.

We go out often for food or drinks, and though I typically will pay, I don’t mind and I know she doesn’t expect it. She still even offers to pay, always has her wallet in her hand and is sweet enough to still buy me stuff despite not having a job so I truly feel we “split” costs even though I pay for more. But I don’t mind since I work full time, she doesn’t.

I’m in a little bit of a pickle where I always seem to end up paying for her roommate though who hangs out with us often. Sometimes we’ll order food at night and I’ll end up asking/ordering her something because I feed bad since she’s right with us. Or if we get takeout and she’s with us, I’ll also pay for her.

I definitely don’t mind once in a while paying for her roommate, whether it be drinks or food… But right now it seems that every time I pay for her.

We’re going out for dinner sometime soon and her roommate is going to tag along with us at a sit down restaurant. Should I pay for her roommate at the restaurant, or do I just claim my girlfriend when paying?

What is the correct and nice way to not always pay for her roommate, without coming off as rude? We get along really well, I just don’t want to appear as an asshole or for it to be awkward if I pay for my girlfriend but not her roommate, especially since I’ve been doing it already.

Any advice is appreciated!
