My father always used to tell me "son, whoever rushes in life he stumbles and falls" and I was always living by his words (not so strictly but you get what i mean) until yesterday.
So I (23M) met this girl (F23) via tinder and we said let's go on a date shall we; Why not. Little did I know my bad luck was on ecstasy that day. So as I finished work I went to the office to leave some paperwork and immediately hopped back in my car to go home an get ready (the date was at 20.30, I was one home at 18.30). As I reack the front door I look at the back seats to find my keys where I usually throw them when I am in a hurry and I notice that the back seats are missing. I freak out for a moment then remember that I had them dismounted from the car to clean them (stains of coffee mostly) and I thought to myself it's ok I will just make an extra kilometer to get them. No problem. I run to the apartment, open up, took a hot shower, shaved, put deodorant and cologne. The only thing I had to do was dress up and go get the seats. So i as i am Usain bolting down the stairs I get to the front porch. I was running really fast to get there because the time was 19.50 until I did all those things. So as I step outside I slip on the last two stairs with all the speed I had , Jackie chan on the fence and drop dow to rainy water mixed with mud and flowers, and I'm like oh man I'm never gonna make it on time.
I immediately get up run to the apartment, took a bath once more (this time it was freezing cold) get some fresh clothes, iron them and headed again for the office. I reach there and I try to reach for my wallet to take some cigs and I realized I left my wallet on the dirty pair of jeans. I am speaking in frustration at that moment so I get the back seats, I go back home and start my way down to the centre to find her. The time was 20.25 and she sent me a message saying she was going to be late 5 minutes and all I could think reading it was "oh dear if only she knew". Anyways I got there at 21.00 and I explained myself (which kinda broke the ice to be honest).
So I guess you got the message folks. Never. I mean NEVER rush. Worse things could have happened but they didn't.
(Sorry for my English I'm from Greece. 🙂 )
Edit: I forgot to mention that on my way back from the date i was kinda speeding and i hit a road hole an my phone flew from its car phone holder and landed on its screen which obviously shattered it. NEVER I mean NEVER RUSH.
