I was watching Queer Eye a few months back and a piece of advice that Tan France gave really stuck out to me. He told an anecdote about losing a past partner because he (Tan) became complacent in the relationship.
I know a lot of us are emerging from the depths of a lockdown the likes of which we have never experienced before. We have all seen the memes about over indulging with alcohol, neglecting our physical fitness/appearance/hygiene, oversleeping, becoming lazy, you name it.
This is a polite reminder to those with partners to make sure that you are not becoming complacent in your relationships. Whether that means staying active during the lock down, planning on dressing up for them even though you are staying home, treating them with a special gift, or just remaining focused on becoming a better overall human being.
People never want to feel like their partner is taking them for granted, so remind them that you value their presence in your life!
