Has anyone ever dated someone for >1 years and suddenly didn't feel the magic anymore? Like there wasn't a spark? What was your experience like? How did you get through it?
I (26F) have been dating someone for a while now and I haven't had any sexual attraction for about a month. I feel like it's due to an accumulation of things I never addressed and fixed. For example, I miss talking to and hanging out with my friends a lot since we start dating but he once told me he doesn't see why I need to chat with friends when I have him. I also feel like I am responsible for cooking and cleaning when I stay at his apartment on the weekends but I feel unappreciated doing so — he gets upset when I share fruit and foods I like to eat because he says I'm not supporting him with his weight loss plan (I don't think there is a real plan, he eats all the unhealthy food, all the fruit, and an excessive amount of it on his own). He yelled at me very recently for not "cleaning up after myself" when the hair falls from my head. What gets me down the most a majority of the time is his negativity and his lack of patience. He's easily irritated and I'm always thinking of how to not trigger him.
He's a very caring guy with good intentions, but at this point I just don't feel anything. I've been told that love is a choice and even when there isn't a spark anymore, you still choose to be with them. How do you know if this is one of those things? How do you know if it's time to part ways?
