After being back on the dating scene for about a year now, I've found that texting is a huge topic with both men and women. Some people have a lot of expectations set for texting and others don't. I go back and forth on whether texting indicates a level of interest or not. I used to think it did and now I don't really see it that way or understand it much…. why do we expect someone we are dating to be any more responsive than let's say a friend would?? Is that a fair expectation to have?
I have a friend who is very interested in a girl. He is dying to take her on a date after the quarantine blows over, but he literally goes hours without texting her. He forgets to text her back. In a lot of cases, people would automatically see this as a lack of interest, but it isn't the case. So, where do we differentiate a lack of interest or just different texting habits?
Would love to know your opinions!!
