I have a coworker who left my job maybe… 4 months ago. I haven't talked to her since, but maybe a week into quarantine, she messages me on Snapchat saying she got a Nintendo switch. I talked to her about the switch maybe once before, but it was nice that she remembered me. We exchanged friend codes and talked about animal crossing for a bit. Then for the past month, we've been talking off an on. She came into work last week to see me and shop. Unfortunately, I was super busy, but she followed me around for a little bit to talk.
Now, the thing that's confusing me is the lack of constant communication. We'd talk for a few days, then once the conversation dies down, she leaves it on open and there's no communication for like 5-7 days until one of us would message each other. I know she doesn't use snapchat that much, so sometimes replies take hours, while sometimes it takes seconds.
Every time we start a conversation, she tells me she misses me and wants to stop in soon. At this point, I can't tell if she's just being nice or is interested in me. When we worked with each other, she'd usually work with me if she had the chance, but I can't remember if she ever showed any signs that she liked me.
I messaged her the other night asking if she got my gifts I sent her in AC, and she said yes and that she misses me and wants to stop into work soon.
I suggested hanging out once quarantine is over and she agreed to it and said we can get coffee. But once again, I can't tell if she's considering that as a friend thing or something more. I don't want to take a shot and then make things odd if I'm wrong, because I'm usually wrong in situations like this.
