Take that title to heart man.
I've used Reddit for almost a year now, and this was the first sub I joined. I originally joined to get help to get over my ex. Although I'm a lurker, I read most submissions on this sub.
One thing that I see a lot, between here and r/relationshipadvice is the question of whether you should stay friends with your ex, or talk to them at all, after they dumped you.
The answer is always NO. How do you expect to get over someone if you continue to talk to them after they broke your heart. There is absolutely no reason to stay in contact with your ex longer than you have to, especially if they are the one who broke up with you.
Hold yourself on a higher pedestal than you hold your ex, You deserve better. If they broke up with you they clearly weren't as great as you thought they were, or else you'd still be together right now wouldn't you.
After a breakup, it's easy to think about that person you lost. But you have to prioritize yourself FIRST. No one else matters at the current time but you.
Breakups can be rough, but talking to your ex consistently after it happens is the worst thing you can do.
