Please share some opinions on dating a 32[M] NEET (unemployed) with $260k plus in savings and inheritance.

MAIN QUESTION

How would you view dating a guy who has no job but 260k in savings and trust payments of 2-3k a month. He also lives with his uncle to save money and spends his time volunteering, caring for a family member, and doing hobbies.

CURRENTLY

I have masters degree and worked for 8 years and saved about 260k dollars. At 29 I realized my job was pointless, made me miserable and actually detrimental to society so I quit.

Shortly thereafter I inherited a small trust/holdings from my grandfather which will pay me about 25k a year till I’m 75 years old. I currently live at my uncles house and save my inheritance payment. My logic is, I like living there, its free, and if I ever get married ill have more money to provide for family.

Im good looking but quiet. I’ve had the same 3 friends since I’ve been 15, 2 are married and we still see each other.

RELATIONSHIP HISTORY

I had serious relationships up until age 27 and was engaged for 2 years to my grad school girlfriend. When we broke up I moved into a barebones studio and did nothing but worked for 4 years after which is how I saved up such a sum.

I haven’t dated at all in 5 years, and haven’t “worked” at all in the past 2 years and I’m pretty sure I will never return to conventional work again.

WHAT I DO WITH MY TIME

I volunteer on environmental projects, tutoring at my local parish, spend 15 hrs a week caring for an elderly family member and spend the rest of my time reading and learning new hobbies. Im good looking (or so im told) but extremely quite and introverted.

ISSUE

I really like my new life and feel like I got an unbelievable gift through the combination of saving and inheritance but I feel like my life would be better with a companion and would like to have at least one kid.

I’ve notice are society tends to place a persons whole worth and identity on their job. For instance, when I went to a few social gatherings last year meeting new people the first question everyone seemed to ask people was “Soooo what do you do for work?”. These experiences always left me with a bad taste and I just kind of withdrew back into my life.

Im wondering if I have a skewed perception on how people view someone without a job and would like to here a variety of honest opinions from the ‘applicable market segment’, i.e. 20-30s singles.
