By "nothing answers" I mean a response that has words but doesn't actually mean anything.
For example, recently I sent a girl friend I know a message to see if she was okay. After while I find out she's back in my city and ask her if she wants to hang out sometime (not trying to hook up, just catch up). She replies with "yea possibly". I say okay cool
I don't think much of this at first, but later I realized that it's a nothing answer. Words were typed, there was the illusion of an answer. But in reality, no useful information was exchanged. It was just now, a day later, that I realized I've gotten these types of replies lots of times in my life
Even "maybe if I'm not busy" is still an example of a nothing answer. Say something like "I'll get back to you on that". Or just say yes or no. Move things along. At least that way when the time comes to answer for your choice, you can own up to it, or lie/try to blame that person etc. Shows you what kind of person you really are inside. Builds maturity.
Words are supposed to mean something. This is a huge problem in general with human interaction. Everything we say and do with each other just starts getting watered down to the point where nothing means anything anymore.
Keeping your options open is overrated. Keeping people at your beck and call with wishy washy replies is overrated. Commit to something
To me the older you get the less attractive these answers are. It shows me that you lack conviction, and probably as a result, maturity and commitment
