Potential long distance situation

So this 20F and I (27M) met a couple years ago at a music festival and have stayed in close touch through text and social media as she lives ~500 miles away. I wouldn’t normally do something like this, but her and I hit it off really well, have lots shared interests, and she’s absolutely gorgeous. She’s very much my type. We tried meeting up a number of times but nothing ever worked out. Then a month ago she was on a road trip and stopped in my city to visit me. We both had a good time and shortly after I invited her on a week long camping road trip.

I was a little nervous as spending 7 days straight with any person can be risky, let alone someone you’ve only hung out with twice. It started off good and we got to know each other really well. We felt comfortable talking to each other about anything, which she kept mentioning that she liked. We got really close with each other as the trip went on and on the last day I dropped her off at her parents house and ended up staying for her brothers graduation party. I met her entire family and she kept mentioning how much they all really liked me. We left on such a high note and I was feeling really good. We are probably going to meet up for another trip in a month.

I developed strong feelings for her and told her so several times on our trip. Since the trip we’ve been talking a little bit more than before. She has a year and a half left in college 500 miles away. I’d be up for some type of long distance where We visit each other every few weeks (I have a good job and can afford it), and if it works well one of us could move to the other eventually. But my biggest concern is whether we could stay heavily enough in touch via phone for weeks at a time between seeing each other for it to be a viable relationship. I’ve never done long distance so Im not exactly sure what seems to work for other people. I should have brought all this up at the end of our trip, but I didn’t and am not sure whether to tell her via phone or if I wait till our next trip, use this current time in between as a kind of test run for a LTR and if things are going well bring up the LTR idea in person.
