Question about a girl, new relationship

So I’m talking to this girl I met about a month ago that’s going to the same college as me soon. We instantly clicked and she’s very pretty.

She is at senior week(beach week) right now and I feel like her texting and communication has went down a lot, I get maybe 3 bursts of texts throughout the day and that’s it. I think I’m entitling myself to a lot of txts and like updates from her or what not but…. I’m going down to her house today for the first time. Is this normal? Should I care? I feel like she’s texting me when she’s bored which shouldn’t be how this works.

We are both 18.

Also when I see her today, we are pretty close. Shall I initiate a hug or just wave – I’m meeting her at a public beach.
