Matched with this girl on a dating app,we texted regularly and hit it off really well. Started hanging out together which involved cooking, cuddling, watching movies and just lying in bed together and talking. It got a little intense occasionally and there were a few misunderstandings in between, mainly because our mental illnesses started to act up but they were eventually resolved. She told me that she wanted me to help her have sex and that she hadn't had it in the past with the people she dated, though she had tried to (she had a mental block/medical problem basically). She started giving me mixed signals by telling me that she liked my company but also spoke about how we should slow things down. I had taken a back seat and did not mention anything on those lines and the fact that she said what she said amazed me a little bit. She let me in inside her life where she told me about her ex relationships to which I lent her my ear. We continued to text but not as frequently as before. We decided to meet one day and go out for drinks but there was some awkward tension in the air and none of us bothered to address it.I received a message from her the next day saying that she's not feeling anything in the boys/dating zone anymore and left the ball in my court by suggesting that we take a step back. I was dumbfounded and decided to take a step away instead of taking back and stopped texting her. She messaged me a week later to check in on me. We stopped talking after that though I had dropped her a couple of messages suggesting that we meet only to clear things out and part ways on a good note but she kept me hanging and gave no proper response.
Few months later she makes a few Instagram posts on how she met a certain guy who walked into her life and absconded and how that guy is stupid and has a bird's brain. I'm pretty sure the post was hinted at me since she mentioned a couple of things that we had brought up earlier in our conversation.
I still can't get my head around what happened and the fact that she's still bitter and resents me. Don't see where I went wrong.
