Men: Do you think there's a point in talking to women continents away?
Women: Would you ever want to establish a connection to someone from a different country at any level online?
Here's why my question comes from (TL:DR Below)
Context : I do tons of online gaming and I don't shy away from shooting my shot. Often sometimes the strangers talk in French, Spanish, Italian or Portuguese but I use what little knowledge I have of these languages to shot my shot. At the end of the game I usually end up to their IGs… (After which the conversation may/may not stop depending on whether they're genuinely interested in knowing me or just wanted another + on their follower count. (Sometimes I get a number)
Doubt: In my own city I was talking to a French girl who then moved back to France during the lockdowns and then cut me off today when she decided not to return on getting a job there.
About me: I'm socially anxious so I'm ages behind cold approaching and I rely entirely on dating apps for any sort of building. I just decided to take this thing to a different level on online gaming and it had better success rates but now I feel like it's pointless to try.
TLDR: Should I stop trying to get to know women on online gaming? Cause I doubt it'll ever go anywhere
