So, I'm a little bit at a loss. I can't seem to find someone who I can get along with. I know I'm young (22), but I'm definitely looking to work on building something with someone who wants to be in a relationship for the long run. I'm not looking for a short term relationship, I don't want FwBs, I don't want a one night stand.
I'm on OkCupid (Tinder, and Bumble but I rarely use them now just cause I don't expect to find anyone on there). I occasionally post on subs on Reddit, but I usually don't connect with anyone… I also send messages out to people whom I feel like are interesting and it's not copy pasta stuff… but likely my message just got lost in the influx of 30+ other messages going in.
I like to think I'm a decent person. Sure, I have my issues same as anyone else, but I think I'm at least somewhat of a catch?
I have lots of hobbies from cooking, gardening, travel, spiritual stuff, hiking, gaming, playing music, etc. I'm actively trying to find a partner who games as well, because I love being able to share gaming as an additional hobby to bond over. I'm college educated and have applied for a Master's degree of which I will hear back from soon….
At a certain point, I think it's less about me and more about not knowing how to fine tune my dating pool options and that I'm likely searching in the wrong places.
The other huge issue I'm noticing, is that I don't want kids, so I don't talk to (romantically talk to) those who are either unsure they want kids or want kids. This alone, drastically reduces my dating options.
I'm just feeling especially defeated that even on site like OkCupid where you can filter out almost every single possible dealbreaker, there's almost always one significant dealbreaker that for some reason isn't filtered and when I view their profile and find it, I get disappointed because they're otherwise a perfect match.
I've worked on myself a lot, but after a certain point, there's only just so much you can work on yourself. I'm at a loss/unsure how to proceed in finding someone who shares fair number (or a lot) of my hobbies.
