So I(20M) matched with a girl (20F) on about 3 weeks and we’ve been talking ever since. I wasn’t actively using tinder & going on dates every other week anymore cuz of classes & I came back to it with whole new global distance thing. I rlly connected with her over the app and I asked for her # which she gave me surprisingly and we’ve been talking ever since. After some more personal questions, location/college came up and oof I was reminded that the location # was about 400 miles when I matched with her, I almost completely forgot about that. It’s funny that she would’ve been in my location range(15 miles) at some pt this summer for a couple of months if this pandemic didn’t occur. She’s a really awesome person, we have a lot of the same interests, and I enjoy talking to her. It’s been brought here and there but we try not to always dwell on it? I doI’m definitely not love struck but damn just got the opportunity to meet someone pretty awesome and they so live so far? I’ve just been looking for like genuine excuses to like stop talking to her so I may not have to deal with a possible idk rejection? I wish I was getting catfished, my options would be so simple?(joking but super glad I wasn’t being catfished) Should I just continue to get to know her better and enjoy her company regardless of how far apart we live? I’ve been advised to “see where it goes” as well as “find someone closer to you, you’ll meet someone you’ll connect with just as much as her in the future”. There’s a great person in the now and idk I’m not so keen on the idea lol, it’s sound advice but why am I hesitant on taking it? Advice on long distance, experiences, stories & etc would be nice. Tips or anything would be great.
