O [M30] have been chatting with this girl [F29] for over a month during lockdown. We knew each other from before, but we kinda clicked in this period. When the lockdown was lifted we met, and at the second date I went for the kiss. She stopped me and said she has a boyfriend. No shit.
Anyway, we kiss, on the third date we make sweet love, we plan stuff together, like where to go next, I read her bedtime stories most nights.
She's growing on me, and I'm liking her more and more. I think it's the same for her.
Still, she has a boyfriend, and call me old fashioned, but after 4 intense dates I think it's… well, weird, I don't like complicated, I like relaxed, drama-free, simple relationships.
Regarding her bf, they've been together for 5 years, they haven't seen each other in 5 months, even though he lives close to her, way closer than me, I may be biased but I don't understand why they are still together, and she won't talk about it. She is conflicted, I see that, but just says that the right thing to do would be for me and her to stop seeing each other. I'd be fine with that, it's her choice and I'd respect that, but she keeps idling and I fear this could go on for way too long.
Ok, to the core question. I don't like how this is going and this is what I think I can do:
- Urge her to make a choice. I don't like the idea, I don't want her to make quick hasitly decisions which she may regret later, and provoke drama and pain afterwards
- Just run with it and see how it goes enjoying the moment. Problem is, my feelings are growing quickly and when things go wrong my friends have to gather pieces of me all over the place. I need to force myself to stop at some point
- Just "break up" whatever this is, regardless. All in all this relationship could hardly turn healthy, but I also may be losing a person that I'm really liking and appreciating
- ... Other?
I'd love an input, from the inside I may be biased and foggy.
I appreciate your time for reading and considering my situation, thanks!
