Should a guy send anothwer message if he doesn’t get response from the first message?

I've been on and off datings the past 6 years have found no success on them. I've tried tinder, POF, Hinge, Match.com, Badoo, Meet Me etc. I have matched with women on each of them at some point, then I send a message. I always hear that women like guys who message first and I do just that. But than after a few days then turns into a few weeks than a few months I get no response. I get it and I know 9 times out of 10 women have multiple men messaging them. But I sit and wonder if maybe they are wanting me to actually chase them and really work for their attention? So I often think about sending a second or third message just to see if I get a response. I'm not nor do I ever want to be that annoying guy who keeps messaging a woman when she's not into him. I don't want to ever seem desperate, ot chase after a woman who isn't into me. But ladies I have a question, If we but swipe right on each other and match than I message you and you don't respond after few weeks, days or months should a I send a second message? Is a second message worth it? I mean come on we both swiped right so there is mutual interest right?????
