Should I [29M] avoid dating apps/dating altogether after my partner’s death?

So.

I'm 29M, my partner passed away in October last year (she was 29F). We had been together since we were both 19, so essentially I have never dated anybody else as an adult. I don't feel any urgency to jump into dating or a relationship, but after 6 months I have been thinking about the future.

I've obviously never had a dating app before, and instinctively I find them unappealing. I don't like having my photo taken at the best of times, and so there aren't a load of photos I can use for a profile from before the lockdown. The thought of taking photos around the house especially for a dating app fills me with dread.

My partner and I were very close, and I have also been thinking that maybe this is just it for me and relationships. I'm not entirely sure what kind of advice I'm asking for here, but after weeks in lockdown with all of this in the back of my mind, it might be good to hear what other people's thoughts are.

Thanks.
