Should I back off?

Last night I(m19) was a graduation party and met this super awesome girl(f18). Im really shy but at soon as I got to talk to her we instantly clicked and she seemed to be interested in me(while rejecting everybody trying to make a move on her) we shared contacts and she said that I should hit her up… Today we texted a bit and I just asked her out(I hate texting and I'm really quite boring over text so I would rather see someone as soon as possible) She explained that she was on a break with her boyfriend. I of course respect that but I also feel that there is a real possibility that they will break up and she was interested in me(she admitted) but I don't know if I should stick around or just back off. Its kinda rare I connect so well with a person so I just feel like it would be a waste to completely back off. To clarify I will not make a move while she is in a relationship!!! Nor will I want to be a rebound. Having a 3rd party would just be nice:) Hope you can help because I would appreciate it:) Cheers!
