Should I date a man I’m not physically attracted to?

A couple of years ago, I became quite close with a coworker of mine (let’s name him Patrick). We had the same humour, liked the same music, and could always continue a conversation.

After we both left the company, Patrick and I remained close, texting and hanging out when we had the chance. A few months later, Patrick confessed his feelings for me but at that time I was unsure if I felt the same way. That didn’t make things awkward for us, and we continued to see each other and hang out. Before this pandemic our relationship began to develop and things started to get a bit more physical and intimate when we’d see each other.

What I like about Patrick is he knows how to make me laugh, how to make me feel special, and how to calm me down. But he’s not like the usual guys I’ve gone out with, I don’t find myself as physically attracted to him. Am I shallow for being stuck on looks? Or should I continue this “relationship?”
