Should I message him again? Not interested?

At the beginning of quarantine (almost two months ago) I was stuck in another town and matched with someone on a dating app who lives where I normally do and we started texting. We texted for about two weeks. We didn't actually text that much – I wanted to use my free time to focus on university projects I've fallen behind on and I didn't want to occupy too much of my time texting with someone I might not see for months, he also wasn't texting non stop so we were replying each other two-three times a day but the messages of both of us were long and detailed and with mutual interest towards the other. So I wouldn't say that we were that "connected" or "invested" as we were two strangers on the internet but I liked how we shared a lot of common interests and views and our conversation was flowing. He even said that he would have loved to go out if we weren't quarantined and I also confirmed that I would have loved it. After two weeks of texting he didn't respond to my last message but since it wasn't a question a week later I decided to text him again. He actually replied and we continued texting for a while as if nothing happened but after a while he suddenly stopped replying again – again my last message didn't contain a question but it was around a topic we were discussing and was quite detailed so I kind of expected him to share his opinion or something as I did. It's been three weeks since then and I am now back in the city, the quarantine came to an end recently and we are allowed to go out. So I wonder should I bother messaging him again – would it be weird if I initiate again first after weeks have passed? I don't even know what to say tbh. I'm also thinking of restarting my account as I usually do it from time to time and probably see if we match again.
