Should I try to reconnect after a long silence?

I was seeing a girl for a few months before the pandemic happened. Then we were quarantined and I couldn’t physically see her anymore. We had a conversation that went horribly wrong and she said she was going to stop texting. I took some time and apologized a while later but she never responded. Now it’s been a month and I miss her. I want to reconnect because I’m sad about how things ended between us and I want to try being vulnerable. I thought she did like me but it’s like I don’t exist after our last conversation and it really bothers me. I wrote a text asking if we could try talking again but I’m hesitant to send it.

I’ve spent the last couple weeks crying and abusing myself for being so stupid that I let it get this way in the first place. In the meantime I’m trying to be a better guy. I swear I must have been a terrible partner to let it get this way, which is why I must be better somehow. I haven’t dated anyone else during this thing, and I don’t plan on doing so, maybe not ever again if this reconnecting goes poorly. I just wish we could talk again.
