I dated this guy (23m) for a year and a half. We broke up because I he was very juvenile (thirsting over random women, lack of communication skills, etc.) my main breaking point was that he was homophobic due to his friend group and culture. Almost 2 years later he messaged me asking to talk saying he still loves me and wanted to know if I could give him another chance. All the guys I’ve attempted to date have been complete fails. I was also thinking about him a lot before he messaged me. We ended up dating for about a month and I had seen some major improvements in his life (including the fact that he’s no longer homophobic). But I still had major trust issues over his hornyness over women and he also still didn’t have the communication skills of someone I would want to date. I ended things peacefully and told him if he got his act together and worked on himself I’d give it another chance if I hadn’t moved on already. But it’s only been a week and it’s really hard staying away from him. I think because I left things open ended I don’t have closure. Should I cut all communication and whatever happens, happens? Or should I still remain in contact and just hope he grows up
