Back in the fall I met this girl off one of the dating apps. I fell hard and I didn’t expect too. She checked off all the boxes and I finally thought I had to stop the “search”.
Well come March after a few months of dating she told me she had health problems and it’s a bad time for a relationship. I got the whole nine yards “you’re a great guy, it’s not fair too you”, “I’m too busy for a relationship”. Sucked but had to move on.
Quarantine hits. We both go back to our respective home towns. We start talking again. Constant texts, snapchats, games online etc. I thought things might have changed and we could pick it back up. After weeks of talking again I asked if she wanted to meet up. She agreed. However, for the next 5 weeks there was always an excuse and then we would set a date for a week later.
Texts slowed down again, but she would always string me along here and there. A quick text, Snapchat, etc. Plans were set for a weeks ago. I asked if she’s still good for that day and no response. It’ s been 3 weeks and haven’t heard a word after 7 months of dating.
I learned the hard way. Don’t let someone string you along. If they wanted too see you there would be mutual effort. I ignored all these signs for months since she checked all my boxes and had rose colored glasses on. Funny thing about wearing rose colored glasses, all the red flags look normal.
Do yourself a favor. If someone if stringing you along, leave it. Go for someone that doesn’t have you constantly guessing their interest level.
