I have known for a while now that my boyfriend is a narcissist. He is also a recovering addict and has relapsed a couple times while we have been together. Everyone in my family hates him. I have been told by my sisters and mom that once my sisters start having kids that they will never let their kids anywhere near my house if I am still with the same guy.
I have been with him for about 18 months now. We have been through so much together. I have seen his darkest places, but I’ve also seen growth and change. I see his soul and his heart and see how kind and loving he can be. And he wants to try for me. I love him and love it when he tries.
I guess I am looking for advice from anyone that has chosen to stay in a relationship knowing that someone is a narcissist or advice for going against what your family thinks.
