I've seen many people here complaining about not being able to get dates because of how they look and a lot of people keep telling them "accept yourself for who you are" and "it's okay to be single".
Life doesn't work that way. Most of us average looking guys (to put it nicely) crave for someone to tell us that they are attracted to us. And that won't happen if we remain average (overweight, thin, bad dressing etc) .
I have a really good looking friend who doesn't go on dates and is fine with it .. he likes being single because he knows women drool over him and he knows the day he wants to date, he will be easily able to get a date.
People like myself who struggle to go on a date for months can never have such confidence.. and asking people to accept their weaknesses is just setting them up for failure. Because failure , not success, was the reason behind our choice to remain single or accept ourselves. I wish people had been upfront with me and told me to fix myself instead of telling me to accept my body.
Tell people the truth even if it hurts. Accepting their body isn't going to help them get dates. Because people really don't care about your inner struggles when swiping on your profile.
Now I know in some cases like height, baldness etc people have to live with these.. but giving them a reality check would help them make better decisions. Telling guys that "women are wrong because they fail to see how how nice guys are ' or "one day, they will see how nice you really are' is incorrect and unhelpful
PS : Not trying to body shame people. Just saying fix your body if it can be fixed.
